La Niña pays a visit to Northern Tasmania

Several weather stations in Tasmania's north recorded more than 300 millimetres of rain last week with more than a dozen Tasmanian towns evacuated and many more placed on alert.

Ashgrove operates several dairy farms across Northern Tasmania, thankfully, all our cows were placed in high paddocks and weathered the downpour like the legen-dairy herd they are, just a few soggy hoofs.

Cloverfield Farm Manager, Ebony Bannister, documented the deluge, posting these videos to her social media:

 

 

Almost 100 properties have been damaged by flooding in north and north-west Tasmania. Significant floodwaters will continue to subside in coming days, however, another band of rain is expected to hit the same areas later this week.
